Power flushing at Powerflush Geek
If it’s been over five years since your last power flush, your central heating system is likely overrun with rust, limescale and all sorts of other sludge, making heating your home up a bit of a struggle.
Power flushing is one of the most effective ways to clear everything up, and whether you’re based in Warrington, Liverpool or Manchester, we’d be more than happy to help you out.
By connecting a powerful pump up to your central heating system, our engineers flush a cocktail of chemicals through the pipes to dislodge all the gunk from within.
Not only will doing this extend the life of your system and help it run more efficiently, but it’ll also save you some money on your monthly energy bills. It’s a win-win!
Benefits of power flushing
Aside from, of course, helping your boiler heat your home more effectively, power flushing has many benefits that you can’t afford to miss out on.
You’ll no longer have to put up with the relentless banging or gurgling sounds coming from your boiler and radiators and won’t have to worry about your boiler breaking down – as they’re much less likely to happen when you power flush the system regularly.
In the colder months, you’ll feel the benefit of your heating firing up much faster, and with your system working much more efficiently, you’ll be able to cut the cost of your energy bills too!

I have had problems with the heating system in a large old property for a long time with a number of cold radiators that no one seemed able to resolve. The team arrived on time and worked methodically and efficiently - despite the challenges of difficult access and historic issues. No corner was cut and both guys made sure that all appropriate tests were done on completion. They stuck to the quotation price despite the additional work needed and now every radiator is working for the first time in years. Thank you for the job you have done, I rarely post such a glowing review but credit is deserved when a good job is done. If they can solve this house, anything else will be a doddle for them.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.DJ Fricko2023-08-26Great experience, our heating is working perfectly again. Frequently Asked Questions
Is power flushing in the North West expensive?
The cost of power flushing in the North West varies and depends on a couple of different factors, including:
- The type of boiler you have
- The size of your home
- How many rooms/radiators you have
Of course, more complicated central heating systems in larger homes with more rooms will be more expensive as the process can be much more tedious.
Here at Powerflush Geek, we’re proud to be able to offer some of the most competitive prices for power flushing in the North West. But just because our prices are more affordable, doesn’t mean we make any sacrifices or cut any corners when it comes to the quality of our work or customer service.
What’s more, in addition to our top-quality, affordable services, we also offer a few different ways to pay, including finance, making covering the cost of power flushing in the North West easier than ever.
To find out more about our finance options, or to book an appointment with our team, get in touch with us today!
How often do I need a power flush?
Experts recommend power flushing your central heating system every 5-6 years if you want to keep everything in tip-top condition.
However, depending on the quality of the materials used in your system and how well you take care of it, you could go for up to 10 years (!) between power flushes.
If you can’t remember when you last had a power flush – and suspect it may be time for your next one – there are some red flags to look out for to confirm your suspicions:
- Rattling or banging noises coming from your boiler
- Cold spots at the bottoms of your radiators
- Your radiators need bleeding more than usual
If you notice any of the above or are experiencing other, strange issues that you think are related, give us a call to discuss power flushing in the North West today!
Our engineers will be able to confirm whether you do infact need a power flush, or advise further if they think there’s another underlying cause of the problems you’ve been having.
Do my radiators need to be removed from my walls for a power flush?
Not at all!
There’s no need for your radiators to be removed before a power flush, as this would make the cleaning of the pipes almost impossible.
However, there are some other things you need to do to prepare for your power flush, though, including switching off your boiler, opening all your radiator valves and shutting off your water supply.
Doing this before we arrive will help save our engineers a bit of time, but if you need any assistance, we’d be more than happy to help!
Is power flushing always the answer?
Power flushing is one of, if not the most effective way of keeping your boiler running at full capacity, but it may not be the answer to all of your central heating problems.
For example, power flushing won’t be able to solve problems with pressure loss or faulty boiler parts, so you’ll need an engineer to look into these problems separately.
Also, if your boiler is older than 15 years, it may be cheaper to replace it altogether – as older systems tend to cause a bit of bother.
If you’ve been experiencing problems with your central heating system and need a professional to come out and investigate, we’re here for you.
Give us a call or send us an email, and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible to arrange a visit!
